Alahli Bank of Kuwait - ABK Egypt is currently seeking a Cards & Wallet Portofolio Manager who will be Responsible for credit cards and mobile wallet portfolio management
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Meeting and exceeding the established balance sheet and P&L goals set by the bank as well as MasterCard.
Responsible for building risk programs and product schemes to drive balance sheet buildup, spend and retention within the cards business portfolio.
Manage portfolio trends by tracking, and analysis of current range, identify gaps and launch comprehensive value adding solutions to bridge them.
Responsible for conducting analysis and evaluation of business data to support strategic decision-making. Collaborates with other internal clients, including Credit Operations, Analytics, IT, Collections, Credit Risk Management, etc. to support card strategies.
Decide on best solutions to secure business ramp up towards value adding P&L practices and elements.
Manage all launch elements of new campaigns and customer promotions inclusive and not limited to (Credit Policy Approvals, System adjustments, UAT procedures, Marketing briefs and collateral development, Portfolio and Income benchmarks and business case fulfillments and sign offs).
Train all channels on new products as well as deliver refresher sessions on existing products. Cascade different product and segment performance to channels to ensure the directing the front line and back office towards the business focus areas which delivers right credit behaviors and income.
Study market segments and explore the possibilities of introducing new schemes to special segments to increase market penetration and depth.
Control cost to ENR by developing schemes and sales promotions that helps ramp up average spend per card, ENR and balance sheet.
Full ownership of front line variable incentive scheme which is not limited to (development, approval, checking, calculations as well as identifying areas for development to enhance income &/or reduce cost &/or enhance individual level or channel level productivity)
Run Daily, weekly and monthly salvaging sessions with credit based on cases forwarded by different channels and challenge value deteriorating trends.
Fully ownership and management of approval rates as well as booking rates. This is inclusive all credit proposal initiations, discussions, financial simulations and following through till approvals with post implementation benchmarks tracking and further enhancements if and whenever required.
Full ownership of customer life cycles inclusive vintage management to all the existing base covering onboarding, activation, spend, ENR buildup, retention on 30+, 60+ and 90+ basis. Make immediate decisions to ensrue KPIs are met.
Implement promotional activities and marketing to raise visibility in the marketplace & pricing strategies. Manage MasterCard PFG and other agreement elements. Launch rewards and loyalty. Launch co-brand cards. Launch picture cards.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and work experience in a relevant field.
At least 7 years work experience in products and/or portfolio management role. Cards experience is a plus.
Cards businesses, including Product, Pricing, and Risk and P&L management.
Retail banking background with strong knowledge of different customer segments, customer behaviors and the essence of customer service excellence.
Previous portfolio management experience strongly preferred. Data analysis experience strongly needed
Significant knowledge of Retail bank operations and processes & controls
