Job Description
The British Council Egypt is recruiting Programmes Officer - Cairo University VAWG to support British Council Egypt to liaise with the VAW unit and ensure smooth and effective relationships with the unit at all levels in order to meet the project objectives and quality standards.
The Programmes Officer will work closely and under the supervision of the gender project manager of the British Council to support in reaching the project objectives that will be achieved through implementation of activities with the Cairo University Anti-Harassment Unit.
The role will be based at VAW Unit, Cairo university (4 days a week) and 1 day at the British Council.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include but are not limited to:
To work closely with the VAW unit in Cairo University and the British Council programmes teams to ensure the pre- set activities plan and targets are achieved
To provide support for VAWG free campuses project events and activities that will be implemented in VAW unit at Cairo University
Coordinate and organize the events on-site and handle the dissemination of all promotional materials, and management of external requirements. thus.
To assist the unit director in organizing and attend all events inside Cairo university related to the project in coordination with the British Council
To prepare and handle all project administrative documentation and correspondence accurately and consistent with the information provided and in line with British Council standards, including and not limited to:
Draft letters and agreements
Internal and external project emails
Minutes of meeting
Project reports
Developing effective networks, strengthen the British Council, VAW unit, and EU role in the networks at Cairo University
Maintaining relationships with the internal stakeholders of the project, to enable effective project delivery
Assist on Result Evidence Framework (REF) procedures carried out to agreed deadlines.
Collection and maintenance of project activities list in-order to ensure we are capturing and communicating the breath and scale of our work
General project administrative activities and tasks

Job Requirements
Post holder must be eligible to work in Egypt and having a work permit.
University Degree in related fields
IELTS 6 or equivalent English Language qualification, such as APTIS level B2
Minimum of 1-3 year of proven Administration and Finance experience
Proven event management skills
Proven digital communication skills experience (web content input, social media, etc)
