Job Description
FLSmidth Egypt is currently looking for a Cost Controller
The official Finance Department representative at the site, at least three working days per week, given all duties and authorities of any member of the Finance department having full authority to represent finance, with reliance on company rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and in light of the general framework of IFRS, EAS, and general Code of Conduct.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Review all purchase orders to latest budget and forecast.
Ensure correct documentation exists according to procedures before PO (Purchase Order) submitted.
Ensure either all costs match budget or overrun on items is approved by concerned Department Managers in plant.
Track all deviations from budget and report them monthly.
Assist in creating budgets and forecasts by delivering site costs based on input from local technical organisation.
Collect site KPI's and report them monthly.
Prepare monthly reporting to Financial Controller and Finance Manager.
Track overall inventory development and following-up with Supply Chain Department.
Review significant upcoming purchases with the technical organisation and match this to budget before PO is created.
Communicate budget, forecast and monthly cost reports to site organization as needed.
Follow up all site activities per department and participate with the site management in all matters of financial implications
Job Requirements
University Degree - Finance, Accounting, Economics
From 4- 6 years experience in Finance.
Experience as cost controller or Sr. Cost Accountant in an industrial plant preferably cement or construction.
Knowledge of accounting principles, and hands on experience with Percentage of Completion
Management accounting knowledge and work experience, in terms of management reporting, cost accounting, variance analysis, and budgeting.
Good planning and budgeting skills
Awareness of general framework of accounting and internal controls (compliance).
Familiar with Egyptian tax laws
