Nagwa Egypt is currently looking for a talented person with passion, calibers, and an extensive experience in translation of mathematical educational content to be responsible for translating mathematical transcripts from English into Arabic..
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Understanding the English source transcript and rendering it correctly into Arabic with the appropriate style for the target audience
Maintaining the intellectual and structural content of the source language in the target language
Utilizing specialized dictionaries, thesauruses, and online sources to determine the most accurate translation of mathematical terms
Adhering to Nagwa’s in-house translation style guide and following instructions given by reviewers
Ensuring that the translated content is up to standard through sufficient research, reviewer consultation, and good revision
Maintaining ethical codes and keeping information confidential
Ensuring delivery of high-quality while meeting deadlines
Ensuring the suitability of the text mathematically and pedagogically
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in English arts, translation and linguistics, or a relevant field
Excellent command of English and Arabic
3+ years of relevant experience
Experience in translating mathematical content
Science pedagogy background
