Associate Specialist - Category Management (Upcoming)

Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
The Associate Specialist will support execution of strategic and operational sourcing initiatives.
You will support Category Manager across the strategic sourcing cycle and help in gathering and collating supply market information, preparing RFP documents, collate clarifications from suppliers.
You will co-lead the tactical sourcing/ spot buys with category manager, recommend and negotiate with suppliers based on the evaluations and negotiations for tactical purchases.
You will obtain approval on finalized contracts / purchase orders as per the approved delegation of authority.
Job Requirements
You will hold a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance, or in a related field, based on the categories managed and a professional Procurement qualification (eg. CIPS)
You should have at least 2-4 years of experience in strategic and operational sourcing.
Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Oracle), and Advanced Excel is highly desirable.
Regional / industry knowledge of relevant categories will be advantageous.
