    We are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join EAS Catering function at Admin level. As Cost Control Officer, The position is for a highly motivated individual having strong numerical and analytical skill set with excellent knowledge of F&B cost control tools, menu costing and product yield management. He will perform stock audits and spot checks across business units in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, implement and monitor commercial and financial KPI’s, analyse and reconcile the consumption reports. It requires good organization skills and ability to work flexible hours.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Ensure that all invoices are routed for approval in a timely manner and sent to accounts payable team for payment. Constantly follow up on the payment status via Oracle to communicate the same to their external counterparts

    • Job entails that queried invoices are followed up on regular basis by liaising with vendors and Technical approvers and ensure that queries are resolved in a timely manner and closed in the Ensure all vendor statement of accounts is current, that there are no credit hold on their account with Etihad and thus enabling smooth flow of operations via additional payments/credits notes

    • Monitor and flag each of the critical line items and therefore support control of technical DMC (direct maintenance cost) budget

    • Regular follow ups on all insurance and maintenance claims thereby ensuring all the receivables relating to Technical are under control

    • Assist in developing new processes and solutions in order to streamline and improve Technical cost control functions

    • Prepare regular monthly reports providing the status of various invoices outlining due/not due, queried/not queried balances across different functions with accurate aging analysis

    • Support the preparation of the annual departmental budget through data analysis

    • Liaise with Corporate Financial Control for budget amendments and follow ups for various Technical business cases

    • Provide coaching and support to junior members in the team.


    Job Requirements

    • A valid accounting degree from a recognized university

    • Further studies in Business and/or Accounting Principles is desirable

    • 3 years of experience with similar role in hotel or catering industry is desirable.

    • Working knowledge of an ERP inventory system and F&B POS system will be an added advantage.

    Job Specific Skills

    • Well developed communication and strong interpersonal skills

    • Excellent knowledge of maintenance contract structures for an International airline

    • Excellent command of English language

    • Computer literate (Microsoft Office applications)

    • Excellent presentation skills

    • Formal training in budgeting & accounting
