Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Awareness of projects details & conditions
Segregation of projects steelworks to the planned types
Estimation of drafting required time for the various types of steelworks
Preparation of layouts & design drawings using AutoCAD-2D
Initial quantities take-off as per preliminary information, manually
Site survey for civil/existing works for modeling purposes
Preparation of steelworks 3D models using the professional software (Basically, Tekla Structures)
Internal coordination with other trades (mechanical, electric, site team, etc.)
External coordination with the sub-contractors.
Generation of fabrication/installation documents using 3D/2D software
Final quantities generation as per 3D models
Safety: Will be responsible / accountable to follow occupational health, safety, security, environment and quality as stipulated in OHSMS P03, Project HSSE Plan section 4, SDME EP05 and SDME QP03
Job Requirements
Degree in civil or mechanical engineering
Ability for 3D thinking
Minimum experience of 5 years in steelworks field, 3D/2D drafting
Experienced with AutoCad2000 or higher version
Experienced with 3D modelling (Basically, Tekla Structures)
MS Office Package
English communication skill (Written and oral)
