Job Description
The British Council is hiring a Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative support in smooth functioning and efficient operation of all the key HR functions in relation to people management by performing a wide range of administrative tasks to corporate standard.
To support HR department in effective people management & service delivery with an aim to serve staff and external stake holders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Ensure staff Personnel files are opened for new staff and are maintained to meet the British Council standards in filling and audit requirements.
Ensure staff contact details are up to date this involves updating various HR and security records.
Sending Leavers Personnel files and recruitment records to British Council Offsite storage- Infofort.
Ensure all HR letters are duly signed and are filled.
Arrange photocopying, scanning and storing of documents as required.
Provide comprehensive administrative support in recruitment and selection processes for Egypt.
Contact candidates and coordinate with the HR team in scheduling/re-scheduling and organizing interviews.
Prepare Employment Contracts for new hires.
Aligns with PRO for obtaining/renewing expatriates work permits and their family residence permits.
Aligns with PRO for all local comers registration & de-registration from Social Insurance.
Maintains check lists for hiring and end of employments.
Provide administrative and logistic support in organizing HR events, meetings, trainings
Coordinating the Induction for new comers as per assigned by HR officer.
Coordinate with relevant department to book venues, arrange food and transport as required.
Filling the Performance Appraisal forms after signature.
Compile the training needs mentioned in the Performance Appraisal Form in an excel sheet.
Updates HRIS consistently as required and generate reports when required.

Job Requirements
Post holder must be eligible to work in Egypt
University degree
0 - 3 years’ experience in an administrative or support role in Human Resource Management environment
Fluent level of spoken and written English at CEF level of B2
