Dubai Electricity & Water Authority DEWA is now hiring a Senior Engineer - Transformer who will be Responsible for the following tasks
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Assist the Project Management by Leading the Engineering and Inspection activities of Transmission Projects related to Transformer & Reactor field from initiation up to closing stage in line with TP Strategic Plan. Prepare a clear and understandable Transformer scope of works for transmission projects in line with the issued Project Parameter Report to ensure coverage of DEWAs requirements in the new tenders and to avoid any ambiguity or misunderstanding of the scope of works by bidders.
Prepare amendments for technical aspects and reply technical queries raised by bidders during tendering stage to clear ambiguities in tender documents & drawings and clarify the un-cleared points.
Assess the technical offers and declared & hidden deviations submitted by bidders during the engineering stage and prepare the technical recommendation report.
Review and approve design drawings, documents and vendors submitted by contractors or consultants to ensure quality, their compliance with DEWAs specification, international standards, and scope of works.
Attend inspections and capability studies to assess the quality and compliance of equipment as per DEWA Technical Specification.
Attend various technical, design, & progress meetings with contractors, consultants, DEWA internal departments, and other utilities to resolve raised technical problems and to ensure smooth running of projects.
Minimize end user comments and number of non-compliances with Specification requirements found during commissioning stage to ensure customer satisfaction and quality of executed work.
Coordinate with DEWA user departments, to finalize technical issues raised during engineering, inspection, site construction, and site testing & commissioning stages, to ensure coverage of DEWA¿s requirements in the projects.
Job Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 6 years of expereince in high voltage transmission field, design, engineering, quality control and testing of transformers.
