    Job Description

    Fully assist the Scheduling and Planning Specialist in managing the rosters of EFTA students, flight instructors (FI), aircrafts and ramp supervisors following the Flying School Syllabus to ensure that the training plans are not delayed. Ensuring that all schedules and plans are done in accordance to GCAA regulations and that all stakeholders are informed of their schedules on a monthly basis.

    The role includes Manpower Planning, Leave Planning, Pairing and Schedule Management, and Roster Planning in liaison with the Flying School and Maintenance teams.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Schedule FI’s and students for training flights in accordance with flying school syllabus, safety and in liaison with Chief Flying Instructor (CFI) and the Scheduling and Planning Specialist. Upon finalizing the flying schedule, publish the flight training schedule to key stakeholders.

    • Manage real time allocation and changes to the schedule through the agreed software on a daily basis and communicate changes to stakeholders.

    • Manage the Ramp Stand Allocation in liaison with Ramp and Maintenance Teams and Briefing Room Allocation displays on the Operations Control Centre big screen.

    • Liaise with the Maintenance Team for the daily Aircraft Maintenance status report to plan and optimize the usage of serviceable aircraft.

    • Liaise with Flight Dispatch and Air Traffic Control (ATC) teams for weather patterns and airport slot restrictions in order to publish an effective flight training schedule. Book training areas using the Airspace Management Cell (AMC).

    • Publish the short term schedule and the monthly roster for Operations, Ramp Personnel and FI’s.

    • Implement contingency schedule planning during disruptions and any unforeseen situation and provide continuous suggestions and ideas to enhance systems software. Contingency planning extends in utilizing simulators instead of aircraft when applicable. Contribute data towards the jointly managed Safe On-Time Performance report and other shared reports within OCC. Check all expiration dates for key documents (i.e. medicals, licenses, etc.) for students and instructors as per SOP.

    • Support the short term and the long term planning analysis to determine resource allocation and utilization.


    Job Requirements

    • Vocational or Diploma (12+2 or equivalent)

    • Flight Operations, Rostering/Scheduling: 5+ Years

    • In-depth knowledge of Airport Operations and Aircraft handling procedures.

    • Must have extensive knowledge and skills of Airline Operations.

    • In depth knowledge of regulatory rules governing the crew rostering. I.e. GCAA, CAA and FAA.

    • Working knowledge of crew scheduling/ rostering and training management systems integration and implementation.
