    To evaluate and report all compliance findings under the supervision of Head of Compliance.

    To assist in the day-to-day routine compliance functions and administrative assignments within the Unit.

    Handling of Central Bank Circulars Process flow.

    Assist by reviewing all projects for the Compliance function.

    Assist and support Trainings organized by the Unit.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • To assist in the implementation of AML policies & procedures across SIB’s divisions, departments and branches.To act as the main coordinator, reporting and follow-up point between the branches and Compliance within ERMD.

    • Assist in the implementation of technology initiatives to enhance the firm’s Compliance Risk Assessment framework and activities.

    • Review daily AML monitoring reports in order to identify transactions that may reflect possible Money laundering related activities.

    • Conduct investigation (wherever necessary) to determine if sufficient information exists to establish a level of suspicion that requires reporting the case to the AMLSCU via the designated form.

    • Maintain a register to report all suspected AML incidents reported by staff members and ensure that appropriate action/investigations are carried out.

    • Review and track updates on High Risk rated customers (through customer profile forms) completed by the branches and Corporate Banking Group.

    • Assist in the implementation of the Division Quality Assurance Program to ensure that the Division is functioning at a high level of efficiency and effectiveness.

    • Keep informed about improvements and current developments in the AML practice and accordingly update Compliance Officers across SIB of any new AML related laws/regulations that come into effectCoordinating with HRD - Training to ensure that bank’s staff undergo adequate AML training programs to raise levels of awareness within SIB.

    • Respond to all AML questionnaires received from correspondent banks.

    • Maintain positive and professional relationships with management to complete AML work & objectives effectively and efficiently.

    • Any other relevant duties that may be assigned by the Line Manager or Chief Risk Officer.


    Job Requirements

    • Higher Diploma​. Preferably in Finance or Banking

    • A minimum of 5 years experience in banking with at least two years in a similar capacity.

    • Knowledge of accounting/financial Management systems.Professional qualifications such as ACAMS is considered an advantage

    • Written and spoken English and Arabic.

    • Knowledge of Accounting & Financial Management Systems.

    • Knowledge of regulations of local bodies & applicable relevant regulations of international bodies.

    • Strong Statistical Analysis competency.

    • Knowledge of SIB Products, Policies & Procedures.
