    The U.S. Consulate in Dubai is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for a position of Investigator (Position No. ICE-02) in the Department of homeland Scurity (DHS).

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • The Investigator provides guidance and assistance to ICE/HSI management on criminal and civil investigative matters, legal and socio-political issues, and in the development, administration, maintenance, reporting and compliance of the Visa Security Program (VSP).

    • The Investigator plans and initiates criminal and civil investigations covering all ICE/HSI investigative disciplines, advises consular personnel and other government officers in matters relevant to the DHS mission, acts as a consultant and point-of-contact to numerous external host government, non-government, third-country, law enforcement and private sector contacts, and performs other ICE/HSI duties as directed by the Attachรฉ and/or Assistant Attachรฉ.


    Job Requirements

    • Education:

    • Two years of college/university in any fields of study.

    • Work Experience:

    • Five years of progressively responsible experience in investigative work with police, military, private security or U.S. Government organization is required.

    • Language:

    • Level IV (fluent) reading/speaking/writing English is required.

    • Knowledge:

    • Familiar with the ICE/HSI Investigation Program; the Immigration and Nationality Act; Title 8 Code of Federal Regulations; and appropriate criminal violations outlined within the U.S. Code.

    • Knowledge of the UAE criminal and civil laws, and have knowledge of documentary sources of information as well as a basic knowledge of the U.S. judicial process

    • Abilities and Skills:

    • Incumbent must be able to manage sudden shifts in priorities, work extended hours without advance notice, provide after-hours support to POCs and travel abroad on short notice.

    • Incumbent should have or obtain a valid UAE driving license within 90 days of employment.
