Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Attain defined and set Corporate Commercial Finance objectives as advised by the Corporate Commercial Finance Department Head.
Complete all required deliverables, reports and reviews within their allocated deadlines.
Provide regular internal trainings to Credit Analysts and Relationship Managers.
Get involved in the hiring process of new team members.
Handle designated corporate relationships, including marketing for additional business and annual reviews.
Proactively establish, develop and maintain a portfolio of corporate clients and ensure that new relationships or ongoing requirements of existing clients attain internal profitability benchmarks and are in conformity with lending guidelines.
Establish and develop positive customer relationships by conducting regular visits as well as advising and counseling customers on business/financial requirements.
Contribute to increasing the economic profit from an allocated portfolio of corporate clients.
Control effective risk by evaluating, authorizing and/or recommending credit proposals as well as regularly monitoring business statistics/ customer activity.
Ensure the efficient functioning of team accounts; through co-coordinating with Corporate Commercial Finance & Risk Management to ensure that tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
Ensure a stable client financial stance through monitoring client performance, account overdrafts, and loan payments to avoid any potential defaults or losses and liaise with lawyers on recoveries.
Aim to cross sell various FH Group products to existing clients, within the parameters of their requirements to contribute towards increasing portfolio diversification and wallet share of existing clients.
Handle client service requests to ensure an adequate turnaround time for required transactions and requirements.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance
A minimum of 4 years of experience in Trade Finance.
A minimum of 7 years of financial service experience, with at least 3 years of banking experience in the Corporate/Commercial lending domain.
Demonstrate success at driving performance and achieving growth towards meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skill sets.
A proven track record of developing relationships with commercial companies.
Excellent understanding of lending practices.
Stellar track record of meeting deadlines.
Ability to quickly understand customer needs, respond to complaints, explain policies & resolve conflicts as well as handle all operational details related to such matters.
