Job Description
To control the work of applications/systems data center operations efficiently in order to meet IT operation requirements, in accord with established procedures and service level agreements (SLAs), help supervisor to enhance and complete operation procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Data Center Operation
Controlling the internal data center operation works 24 by 7.
Review and execute the daily DC operation work as per scheduled tasks under his authorization.
Helping data center operator to execute DC tasks on time and checking DC tasks.
Participate in resolve or recovering the DC operation issues.
Execute Approved requests from other IT or KFH departments as per agreed procedures.
Monitoring IT services, processes and the automated reports and do the needed actions
Review and execute the provided operational backup scheduling planes or the adhoc or the emergency requests and ensure its completed effectively with cooperation and arrangement with the IT infrastructure support
Committed in follow up DC operation security policies and the IT operation strategies.
Participate in keeping operation site and data center devices, tools, objects secured and organized professionally
Effective participation and cooperation with IT operation and support unites on the maintenance or health checks requirements as per plan and agreed scheduling.
Data Center Operation Monitoring
Monitor system/applications performance to ensure uninterrupted and smooth operation of the Bank’s critical systems
Monitoring systems/applications and related scheduled DC operation jobs from a Central IT station.
Analyze, resolve and escalate operational issues passed up
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
6-7 years’ experience in IT with data center operation or system support management, preferably with a large organization in the financial sector.
Job Specific Skills
Time management.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
English speaking preferred.
High computer literacy and IT operation skills.
Ability to work under pressure, being On Call 24 X 7 and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
