    Job Description

    Alahli Bank of Kuwait - ABK Kuwait is currently looking for Assistant Manager who will Manage, motivate and develop individual employees and the team in line with ABK people policies & practices. Communicate operational procedures

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Validation: Verify accuracy of financial data entry and vouchers processed in the Finance

    • Vendor Payments: Review vendor payments as per policies and guidelines set out by the bank and review/prepare related accounting entries;

    • Fixed Assets: Review the accounting entries for capitalization and depreciation of fixed assets and ensure they are posted to proper accounts.

    • Payment Process: Review and maintain Budget payment system, expenditure proposals and monitor payments against the expenditure proposals and budgets.

    • Data quality Check the quality of data and ensure gaps are investigated and resolved

    • Systems Ensure that data systems produce the required information in the right format

    • Contracts: Review of contracts to be entered by the Bank to ensure they comply with the Expenditure Control Policy of the Bank

    • Reports: Provide adhoc Payment section and specific expense Reports for Management

    • Tax: Maintain up to date records for 5% withholding tax and prepare reports for Ministry of finance submission

    • Accruals: Ensure expenses are appropriately accrued

    • Custody: Maintain adequate control over cheques books & Payments records.
