Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
The job holder is responsible to manage a small number of joint-customer application development projects and provide technical support to converters. Proposing and in some cases overseeing the development of individual Application Development Projects with the objective of identifying potential new business opportunities to expand Borouge’s offerings, with focus mainly on the direct converter.
From a technical perspective, responsible to maintain quality and performance of Borouge products mainly at converters and, to a lesser extent, at other value chain members in the respective area of responsibility. To play a supporting role in identifying new customer needs and supporting the development of new product innovations that contribute towards achieving step change innovations that drive the MC strategy.
The ADE role requires the experience and knowledge to support customers and, to a lesser extent, other key value chain members with technical solutions and new application proposals to run and expand their business successfully.
Job Requirements

BSc in Chemical Engineering or equivalent science / engineering degree.

Preferably, MSc degree in Polymer Chemistry / Technology / Chemical Engineering or equivalent

Commercial understanding and interest in business value

Thorough commercial understanding and interest in business value in the respected business area

Knowledge in operating computer, Microsoft Office, Windows and Internet Exploring

Basic understanding of intellectual rights

Good knowledge of products development commercialisation process

Knowledge of products, manufacturing and application technology

Knowledge of application specific value chain

Knowledge of Borouge procedures and systems
Experience:
-
5 years of total experience in preferably polymer, chemical or application related industries

3 years experience in polyolefins material production industry.

Good knowledge of plastic markets and applications

Good knowledge of polymer technologies, catalysts, and additives
-
Good knowledge of plastics processing, testing and analytical techniques
