Kuwait Airways is recruiting for the role of Director, Finance
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Directs the preparation of the long-term business plans and annual budgets in conjunction with the Assistant Finance Director, Financial Accounting and Budgeting, and the Assistant Finance Director, Treasury and the Budget Committee. Assists the CFO in setting annual budget of financial targets for all departments in KAC
Initiates programs of financial and accounting systems in conjunction with the Assistant Finance Director for Financial Accounting and Budgeting to meet KAC financial policies and procedures and statutory requirements and ensures proper implementation of such systems.
Directs the preparation of the closing of KAC annual accounts, periodic financial statements on the Corporation's financial position as well as the profit/loss accounts with supporting statements and ensures the timely presentation to Top Management and the Ministry of Finance.
The Job holder is also responsible to direct the Outstation function to mitigate financial risk at Outstations and ensure adequate controls exist, compliance with Head Office policies and Procedures and ensure financial support to commercial/ operations to achieve corporate objectives.
Job Requirements
B.Sc. degree in Accounting or equivalent, Master's degree is ideal.
15 years of experience in a large company managing the finance function with minimum of 6 years in a senior management position, preferred in a ‘Big 4’ Audit firm.
Professional Accounting qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA etc.) is preferred.
Airline experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of written and spoken English and Arabic,
