Alahli Bank of Kuwait - ABK is currently recruiting for the role of Head of Credit Control Unit
Perfection of lending documentation & securities, limit authorisation, monitoring, post disbursement compliance, collateral management and exception reporting. Strict compliance to regulatory requirements of CBK & CBUAE. Eg: EMCR , valuations etc. Team Management
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Generic Accountabilities
People Management Manage, motivate and develop individual employees and the team in line with people policies & practices. Communicate operational procedures.
Corporate Governance and Compliance Work fully within risk policies and procedures and compliance regulations and ensure all divisional activities comply with corporate governance & regulatory/legal frameworks
Specific Accountabilities
Procedures Maintain and communicate credit control procedures
Policy implementation: Implement the credit control policy and ensure it is followed by users
Documentation Obtain documentation for corporate loans and ensure it is sufficient and current. Achieve perfection of documentation.
Credit limits Manage credit limits and ensure they are accurate at all times
Perfection of Securities: Assure enforceability of securities through perfection of securities and loan documents
Collateral & assignments: Maintain and manage collateral and assignment. Follow requirements of EMCR, Respective Land departments, Notary etc.
Infrastructure and systems: Ensure all credit control systems are adequate and improved as required
Reporting Provide reports on portfolio, limit audit, exceptions, disclosures and all credit control issues
Database management and library Ensure all information is maintained on a database and documents are effectively filed
Manage effectively the valuation desk; maintain communication with approved evaluators; assess adequacy of valuation reports
