Gulf Bank of Kuwait is currently recruiting for the role of Management Associate - Public Relations & Events
To plan and execute agreed promotional activities and events; To ensure the standard GB corporate image is met and maintained through strategic promotional and merchandising activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
a) Events / Promotions / Merchandising Activities:
b) PR strategy: Support the execution of the approved PR plans.
Plan, develops, prioritizes, and implements events / promotional project plans according to departmental strategy/ business plans.
Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with preferred vendors / external companies / advertising agency.
Compile estimated costs and submit budgets to the Assistant General Manager of Corporate Comms for approval
Make reservations and bookings for promotional events and coordinate shifting of marketing materials, setup, staffing and layout plans accordingly.
Sets up sales meeting and press event schedules, organize materials, review itineraries, and book venues and service requirements.
Coordinate registration and payment procedures and corporate sponsorship activities.
Organize catering requirements, room booking and communication equipment setup.
Identify problems and determine appropriate responses / solutions
Sets-up marketing material whenever possible
Document all activities with pictures and shares learning’s for future activities
Submit a post analysis report to the assistant general manager of external communications.
C) Managing Events (All Draws)
Plan, organizes and manages all draws in coordination with segment managers and Marcomm team.
Coordinates the set up, layout and event’s requirements accordingly.
Responsible for executing the official signing process with Ministry.
Distributes all results to key business areas.
D) Operating Environment
Interacting with all Branches.
Interacting with all Marketing Team.
Interacting with key business areas e.g. Retail / HR / DS.
Interacting with external companies and vendors.
E) Communications And Working Relationships
Reports to the Assistant General Manager of Corporate Communications.
Works closely with PR, Segment Managers and Marcomm team to ensure standardized corporate image is maintained through all events.
Daily contact with Segment Managers to ensure timely execution of promotional events.
Establish key contacts with outside companies / vendors
F) Framework, Boundaries And Decision-making
Approval of promotions and special events to be obtained from Event and Segment Managers.
Preparation of contracts / payments / budgets.
Responsible for disbursement / movements of marketing material to branches and event locations.
G)Sponsorship
Implement corporate image guidelines to promote uniformity and a solid image.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in business management preferably in Marketing
Good knowledge of event management
Experience in a similar role in a banking sector.
