ALEXBANK is currently recruiting for the role of Head of Sustainable Finance for Development
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Managing relationships with a number of important public, private and third sector stakeholders, as well as working across the business in Egypt.
Helping the business identify new opportunities to finance the transition to a low carbon economy.
Monitoring, evaluating, budgeting and reporting of project performance against planned objectives and deliverables and milestones.
Work with relevant stakeholders to develop a roadmap for green finance. Based on the roadmap, develop yearly work plan to implement the project.
Manage research on ESG issues and sustainability disclosure and performance.
encompasses the business & franchise development for Sustainable & Renewable Finance Solutions of Alex bank on client base.
Familiarity with International standards such as – principle of investment, UNEP-FI, GRI, …ETC).
Work closely with the bank related departments to deliver the formal banking services to less privileged people in urban and rural areas as part of the bank`s financial inclusion trend.
Design annual plan of literacy about the financial services for remote areas all over The country as part of the bank financial inclusion Policy.
Job Requirements
Bachelor /or preferably Master degree in business, economics or finance or related field.
Minimum 5-7 Years of experience in the areas of finance or sustainability and Green Finance, working with Banks is preferred.
Experience in financial inclusion is an asset.
A good understanding of how environmental concerns relate to business risks and opportunities and what tools and levers could be used at private and public sector level to catalyze green finance.
Ability to analyze ESG issues and level of integration and communicate to partners & provide training on ESG integration to mid and senior level management.
Must be able to travel internationally (approx. 5%).
