    Attijariwafa Bank Egypt is currently recruiting for the role of SME’s Relationship Manager

    A member of a SME’s Team developing and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of Business Banking customers and connected Personal customers.

    A named point of contact for customers dealing with a range of requests including any calls in Managers’/Directors’ absence and any overflow of work from Corporate Services Assistant.

    Assist one or more Managers/Directors’ with product knowledge, sales research, customer relationship development, research into solutions to meet customer’s needs using market and industry information and risk management for the portfolio.


    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Sales and Service

    • Develop and maintain own contacts with individuals within customers’ organization.

    • Act as principal point of contact in Relationship Managers absence.

    • Co-ordinate introduction to and from other areas of the AWBE Group where appropriate and monitor outcome.

    • Assist with development of and revisions to Customer Relationship Plan.

    • Monitor level of customer service and satisfaction.

    • Develop and maintain links with local business community and support Relationship Manager in same activity e.g. K.B.I.s.

    • Conduct research to identify potential new customers and maintain database of potential customers.

    • Arrange and undertake product presentations where appropriate.

    • Develop and maintain contacts with specialists in other branch sectors and other areas of the Group.

    • Monitor leads and co-ordinate information for the Relationship Manager on overall portfolio.

    • Business Management

    • Monitor set-up of products from other areas of the AWBE Group.

    • Act as liaison for risk management information purposes with customers, accountants, solicitors and other relevant people.

    • Collate customer produced financial information.

    • Analyze historic and projected financial information to identify key issues and monitor compliance with covenants and terms prior to discussing with Relationship Manager.

    • Assist with creation of Credit Applications.

    • Prepare facility letters and co-ordinate execution of documentation and drawdown of facilities.

    • Provide technical input and undertake research for Relationship Manager in connection with proposed security and liaise to arrange preparation and execution of security documentation.

    • Support review of refer list and other risk reports.

    • Take responsibility for routine duties with other members of the Business Banking Support Team. This will include administration such as holiday lists, returns, inter departmental meetings etc.

    • Attend Relationship Team meetings and contribute fully, including suggestions for ways of improving customer service.

    • Contribute to environment of mutual support.


    Job Requirements

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Corporate or SME’s

    • Good knowledge of credit risk with proven track record of managing credit files

    • Sound track record of relationship management

    • Proven networks within the Business banking field in Egypt

    • Branch based products and services frequently used by SME customers including features, tariff/pricing and availability.

    • Will require a good understanding of coverage/products/policies/plans/objectives in order to pro-actively embrace systems/procedure changes within the function

    • Will be required to have an understanding of local, as well as, statutes that relate to role holders function. The most important of these will be central bank’s guidelines, AWBE office policies and procedures. Is likely to be personally responsible for compliance within function. Other statutes may include

      • Internal instructions/procedures

      • Products and services offered by other areas of the AWB Group which are frequently used by SME’s customers including features, tariff/pricing and availability.

      • The Bank’s service standards.

      • Money Laundering regulations

      • Management experience in a multi-cultural environment

      • Sound knowledge of account strategy and planning processes

      • Outstanding knowledge of control and governance requirements and environment

    • Technical skills / Competencies

    • Excellent analytical and comprehension skills to understand and interpret customer needs and economic environment to better price clients deals

    • Ability to think creatively and identify innovative structured solutions for the Commercial client base

    • Strong formal presentation skills to gain acceptance to solutions, both internally (Risk) and externally (Clients).

    • Has the ability to formulate account plans for increasing customer utilizations bringing sustainable balance sheet growth.

    • Strong selling and negotiation skills. External dealings with clients negotiating structure of the deal, pricing and requirements. Internal negotiations with Risk and Compliance on reaching the best solution for the Commercial client base.
