To assist Manager in the advisory to Business for end to end product development, starting from concept all the way to post launch maintenance and trouble shooting..
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Advise business on the end-to-end process of product development for Islamic Finance.
Factor the sensitivities which need to be addressed to ensure Division Head, Internal Shari’a Supervision Committee and CBUAE approvals can be obtained.
Review and develop the product documentation and its flow.
Work with internal and external legal counsels during the product development phase.
Closely monitor the back office deployment of the products in terms of Ops, IT and Accounts to ensure Shari’ah sensitivities are captured.
Review product programs and SOPs pertaining to each product.
Review of marketing/promotional materials.
Assist in responding to compliance/ risk/ business/ audit for complaints/ queries/ requests related to Shari’ah compliance assurance in Islamic products including client queries.
Join teams across the Bank working on Digitization/ Innovation to represent the Division and communicate the needs to ensure that Islamic Products & offerings are fully aligned with the overall product suite of the bank.
Conduct/ participate in training when requested by a business area or the training units.
Job Requirements
Graduation in business/banking or Professional qualification in finance
Certification/qualification in Islamic Banking preferably AAOIFI’s certifications
Significant exposure to Shari’ah principles via studies, courses or extensive on the job learning
Extraordinary attention to detail is required
Strong communication skills: as Bank wide interaction on technical issues is required
Command on MS Office
Three years plus experience of Islamic Banking in Product Development, Advisory and/or Shari’ah Compliance department
Arabic language capability will be a plus
