the United Arab Bank - UAB is currently recruiting for the role of Relationship Officer, Wholesale Banking
Organize and administer all the back office functions for Wholesale Banking under guidance of Unit Head, to ensure achievement of department goals & objectives.
Render support functions such as interest rate reviews on borrowing accounts, financial statements’ analysis and communication with other UAB Departments.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Interest Rates Review
Periodic review of the interest rates over borrowing on accounts (under syndication) the respective review dates
Financial Statements Analysis.
To support Relationship Manager for analysis of the financial statements of the borrowing customers and also the financial statements of the companies / entities where UAB has made investments.
Account Opening Documentation Management.
Coordinate with relationship team members for collection of juridical documents and to review documents for account opening and any subsequent modifications in line with UAB policy guidelines. Also the safekeeping of the documents.
Securities Documentation Management
Arrange and supervise correct & timely preparation of security documents in consultation with relationship team members and in line with approved terms & conditions of the credit facilities to customers. General administration of the security documents in line with UAB policy and management guidelines.
Periodic Reports Preparation
Prepare different periodic returns for review and controls at Wholesale Banking and Head Office under guidance of Relationship Manager.
General Administrative Support.
To render administrative support functions within Wholesale Banking such as maintenance of files & records etc.
Responsible of handling WB client’s trade finance requests and liaising with various departments within the bank to ensure smooth completion of trade transactions.
Responsible for WB client onboarding including handling of account opening forms, incorporation documents and related KYC.
Responsible for KYC reviews, assisting Relationship Managers on expired documents including EIDs, Passports, and Trade Licenses.
Handling client’s various requests including online banking forms, signature update requests and account mandates, receive LC and LG requests and act upon them, etc.
Job Requirements
Bachelor Degree from a recognized education institute
2-4 years of Wholesale Banking experience would be an added advantage
Fair knowledge about bank’s credit products and understanding of trade finance related products/procedures.Good communication skills in English & Arabic
