    EFG Hermes is currently recruiting for the role of Marketing Communications Manager

    Plan and manage the implementation of comprehensive communication strategies and plans in alignment with the firm’s marketing and communications strategy.


    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Handle all communication with the media and PR agencies, ensuring the following:

    • Crafting press releases, announcements, and editorial pieces that well positions the firm

    • The latest news is getting the expected coverage

    • The firm is positioned as an industry leader in the markets where it operates.

    • Ensuring all information communicated about the firm is consistent across the board [collaterals include material like: press releases, blog pieces, biographies, boilerplates, op-eds, etc.].

    • Manage and grow media relations; build strong rapport with the media in all markets where we operate, find new leads to expand our coverage and secure tier 1 media coverage.

    • Provide the firm’s spokespeople with media training and support them in all media relations, secure interview opportunities, draft talking points and review spokespeople quotes to ensure journalists follow the right narrative.

    • Oversee media monitoring; monitor how the firm and its spokespeople are being represented in the news, ensure that data is correct, identify media opportunities and threats in addition to flagging and amending timely any wrong reporting.

    • Handle any PR crisis in a time sensitive manner; immediately flag any harmful reporting observed and share all details with the Group Head of Marketing & Communications to create the proper plan to handle any threatening situations.

    • Manage and review the production of company literature for various publications and platforms ensuring contents’ accuracy and quality. Receive fresh briefs from the business that helps create good write-ups highlighting our latest news, milestones and thought leadership.

    • Plan and prepare internal communication geared towards employees to enhance their:

    • awareness of the firm’s news and achievements.

    • brand loyalty.

    • positive spirit and grow a strong culture.

    • engagement towards initiatives or causes.


    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Mass Communication or Economics.

    • A minimum of 8 - 10 years’ experience in marketing communications and PR.

    • Solid Experience in preparing engaging and effective presentations, reports, plans and other communications to key internal and external stakeholders.

    • Strong analytical skills; able to convert raw data into actionable insights and provide recommendations for senior leadership.

    • Strong project management and organization skills. Goal-oriented self-starter with the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced environment; ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

    • Excellent command of Arabic and English.

    • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening). Interact with and communicate effectively with different stakeholders. Uses communication as a mean of influence in order to achieve one’s goals. Gets the best out of the job by giving clear and direct feedback. Keeps one’s manager informed about progress and problems to avoid surprises. Adjusts style, tone and content as is appropriate to the audience and situation.

    • Able to build partnerships and work well in teams. Identifies potential for collaboration and partnership and cultivates relationships accordingly, both across the firm and externally. Involves individuals from diverse backgrounds and proactively shares information and experience. Uses different approaches to achieve positive outcomes. Gives room for others to express their opinions and deals with conflict in a calm and constructive manner.

    • Must be a ‘doer’, self-motivated, energetic, "can-do" attitude in a fast-paced environment.

    • Comprehends issues, identifies problem factors, and checks assumptions against facts. Generates creative solutions and keeps sight of macro and long-term consequences of decisions. Gathers relevant information, analyses to highlight trends, issues and potential solutions before making a decision. Has the courage to make necessary decisions.
