    EFG Hermes is currently recruiting for the role of Senior Accountant (Securitization)

    Manage financial duties, ensure the implementation of the Group’s policies and procedures, market requirements and local regulatory requirements and develop relationships with counterparties (auditors, banks, markets, regulators).


    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Record the daily journal entries on the system.

    • Prepare journal entries for prepaid expenses, accounts payable, accrued expenses, various expense accounts, and other required allocations.

    • Maintain accurate supporting documents for the handled entries.

    • Maintain all payment filling and records.

    • Ensure all reporting complies with the firm's policies and procedures

    • Responsible for the reconciliation of all the accounts (debtors – creditors – suppliers –clearing acc. – affiliated companies- etc.) and verify balances in various accounting systems.

    • Generate accurate financial statements on a timely basis and ensure that they follow the generally accepted accounting principles and standards. Provide all related supporting documents to external and internal parties during periodic audits.

    • Coordinate with the Treasury department regarding the bank lines of credit or any related banking issues.

    • Manage, prepare and communicate all necessary requirements for governmental, regulatory and tax authorities.

    • Create and update workflows, systems and chart of accounts that facilitate and improve the finance team’s performance. Consider group activities, objectives and market rules. Use the required connections internally and externally.

    • Provide all required financial data needed for decisions support.

    • Work proactively with the group head of finance on key issues and opportunities. Analyze and monitor any changes that would affect the companies under his scope.

    • Develop communication channels between the Finance department and other departments within the firm to facilitate workflows.


    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Accounting certification (CPA, ACCA and CMA) is preferred.

    • 3 - 6 years’ experience in a similar role.

    • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles.

    • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Power point).

    • Good command of Arabic and English.

    • Good communication skills (written, verbal and listening).

    • Able to build partnerships and work well in teams.

    • Can identify problems and refer/escalate complex issues to a higher level.

    • Ensure deliverable are always of a high quality.

    • Detail oriented; works with a high degree of accuracy.

    • Flexible in taking on new tasks.

    • Multi-tasker, with the ability to meet changing deadlines.
