Job Description
Raytheon Emirates is looking for a summer IT intern to join our IT team at Abu Dhabi office for up to 8 weeks. The role entails collaborating across Raytheon to report and resolve incidents and to handle new requests, and to provide technical troubleshooting support. The student will have opportunity to manage compliance to company policy and occasionally prepare local staff for upcoming audit engagements and support all audits as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
End-user support
Provide one-on-one assistance to end-users and respond to IT requests and questions.
Utilize company provided resources to resolve IT issues when technical problems arise.
Provide support to applications such as Microsoft Office operating on Windows 10.
Maintain HP computers desktop/laptop hardware setup, configuration and troubleshooting.
Provide general desktop support, imaging laptops and apply custom-Raytheon configurations.
Provide assistance in operating audiovisual equipment, servicing printers, establishing Network connectivity, VPN and telephony.
IT Administration
Coordinate with Raytheon Company IT and Security groups to implement special software updates and implementation of new software configurations.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and Level 2 support to assist in resolving technical issues.
Contact the Raytheon Help Desk to coordinate end-user support such as password and account reset.
Asset tracking and documenting of IT equipment.
Coordinate with vendors to provide maintenance and repairs of IT equipment.
Server room administration tasks such as ensuring systems are operating properly.
Strong ability to succinctly synthesize data into information to provide accurate status of IT.
Job Requirements
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with an emphasis in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or similar technical discipline.
Student GPA should be 3.0 and above.
MS Office/Productivity (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point).
High level of English fluency, both verbal and written.
Completed, at minimum, 60 hours of college credit towards their degree as of the summer 2021.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and manage complexity in a diverse environment.
Experience working in a team to quickly address challenges.
