EFG Hermes is currently recruiting for the role of Credit & Risk Assistant Manager
Handle the credit risk assessment for all clients’ applications.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Work closely with the Credit Head to identify the risk management standards and set up guidelines for the credit risk process.
Conduct a thorough credit and risk review and assessment including but not limited to: business coverage operations, financial analysis and projections, risk assessment, and industry risks.
Conduct an annual review of credit files, and monitor and review credit risk ratings for existing and new clients.
Monitor and analyse the risk environment, identify options to mitigate risk, and communicate views to the Credit Head.
Ensure proper coordination with concerned internal parties (primarily Business Development and Credit Investigation) and as needed with external parties (e.g. Legal) to ensure timely completion of the deal assessment phase.
Comply with the firm’s established standards for credit & risk.
Work closely with other departments to ensure the appropriate understanding and execution of risk management objectives and processes.
Recommend changes to the credit policies and risk processes to ensure proper and adequate review of the credit applications.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Economics.
Completion of a Credit course from a reputable bank or institution is a plus.
A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar field (corporate or risk in banking or financial institution).
Strong background in financial statement analysis and deal structuring.
Strong understanding of credit fundamentals of diversified industries and business transactions.
Excellent analytical skills.
Excellent command of Arabic and English.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening)
Able to build partnerships and work well in teams.
Can generate creative solutions and has the courage to make necessary decisions.
Has his/her own elevated performance standards and ensures both he/she and the team produce high quality work.
