    EFG Hermes is currently recruiting for the role of Senior Human Resources Generalist)

    Responsible for the delivery of Human Resources support to the country(ies) assigned in coordination with the department’s specialist functions.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Work closely with corporate HR to localise company policies and procedures and ensure suitability to the market and labour requirements

    • Responsible for the complete on boarding process, including ensuring completion of the new hire set-up, paperwork and formalities.

    • Work with all concerned parties to prepare, deliver and regularly update the new hire orientation programme as needed.

    • Coordinate with the Administration Manager to ensure social security payments for local employees are made in a timely manner.

    • Handle the exit process for all exits and transfers, including exit interviews, releases and EOS payments as well as any related communications within HR and the organisation.

    • Work closely with the L&D team to ensure all regulatory training requirements are met; schedule SCA exams for employees, and provide assistance during the annual TNA cycle when required.

    • Assume full responsibility for the medical insurance plans in assigned countries. Research and recommend enhancements to the policies, keeping in mind corporate standards, handle all related employee issues, and ensure premiums are properly calculated, distributed and communicated to the master keeper and payroll.

    • As part of the Talent Management team, work on the annual performance management process; participate in the set-up, provide guidance to employees on how to conduct performance evaluations and oversee accurate completion of assigned processes.

    • On an annual basis, make all the necessary preparations for travel allowance payments for the assigned countries, including updating destinations and dependents, obtaining price comparisons, preparing the analysis for approval and coordinating with all other country HR reps as needed to ensure consistency.

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vacation records, review any required vacation policy exceptions and submit them for approval, and prepare the quarterly vacation report and analysis.

    • Maintain complete and comprehensive employee files in line with corporate HR guidelines and local statutory requirements.

    • Provide support to employees and managers regarding general HR issues, as well as during group wide HR initiatives (e.g. appraisals, promotions, etc.).

    • Actively participate in HR projects and initiatives on a group level as assigned.

    • Represent HR internally and externally appropriately and ensure the CHRO is duly updated on all (relevant) local matters.


    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a genuine interest in HR. Formal HR qualification is highly preferred.

    • 3-5 years’ experience in a related HR role, preferably with generalist responsibilities. Experience in the UAE is a big advantage.

    • Understand and stay up-to-date with employment laws and regulations in the assigned countries/region.

    • Able to work in a culturally diverse environment.

    • Strong computer skills; Proficient user of Microsoft, Excel and PowerPoint, and generally tech-savvy from an end-user perspective

    • Excellent presentation skills.

    • Excellent command of Arabic and English

    • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening)

    • Able to build partnerships and work well in teams.

    • Can identify problems and refer/escalate complex issues to a higher level.

    • Ensure deliverables are always of a high quality.

    • Flexible in taking on new tasks.

    • Multi-tasker, with the ability to meet changing deadlines, and to prioritize and handle multiple projects.

    • Manage pressure and conflicting demands and prioritize tasks and workload.

    • Able to work with remote teams.
