Job Description
Air Arabia is looking for an individual to carry out tailoring tasks, including seat cover repairs and laundry, ensuring work is performed timely, up to required standards and recorded in accordance with Air Arabia and regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Carries out tailoring repairs as instructed by assigned task cards fully in accordance with approved procedures and as directed by the Workshops Supervisor/Engineer In-charge
Reviews assigned task cards with the Workshops Supervisor to gain full understanding of the work, priorities, documentation requirements and cautions, prior to starting work
Prepares and performs scheduled assigned task cards, ensuring that the required documentation, parts, tools and Ground Support Equipment are obtained and used per issued instructions
Carries out required tasks to the standard as per approved maintenance procedures
Ensures proper tooling / equipment is available to perform tasks, returning all of it in good condition following completion of work
Regularly reports the status of assigned tasks to the Workshop Supervisor and Engineer In-charge
Demonstrates high level of consideration to housekeeping standards in all tasks performed
Manages the safety of own assigned maintenance tasks, ensuring all published mandatory precautions are taken prior to commencing work and during task execution
Takes positive steps to protect self and other persons in the area of the maintenance activity from any possible injury, including the use of proper Ground Support and protective equipment.
Job Requirements
At least 2 years’ experience performing tailoring tasks, preferably on large commercial aircrafts as Airbus.
At least 2 years’ experience in a Base Maintenance Workshop environment
Able to demonstrate basic understanding of Airlines Maintenance theory and practice
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English to a good standard for technical communications
Ability to use corresponding tailoring machine and tools
