Job Description
Manage non-performing loans by assisting Head of Recovery, in developing suitable strategies and initiate recovery efforts to achieve recovery targets and ensuring that the Bank’s interests are protected.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Set, priorities and agree with Head of Recovery, the objectives for Special Accounts Department in order to support the achievements of the Department’s overall objectives.
Maintain Bank’s standards, review, check and monitor the recoveries as per the projected plan for all accounts and ensure quality requirements are met.
Processing Police action claims / Litigation and follow up for developments with the Police Authorities / Court.
Ensure regular follow up with the Police Authorities / Court for pending cases and preparation of Police action release letters (in Arabic).
Review the risk levels of non-performing loans referred to the Department to develop appropriate course of action. Assist the department in collecting data from the Land Department for any Assets / Trade Licenses with regard to all Classified Accounts
Establish effective working relationship with non-performing defaulting borrowers to work out solutions which will protect the Bank’s interest.
Maximize system utilization to reduce manual dependence. Regular follow ups for a quick TAT through visits to other Banks and police stations to improve the probability of recovery.
Providing regular updates to Head of the Department on all pending matters.
Train, develop, motivate new staff in policies and procedures of the law enforcement according to government regulations and ensure that Bank’s policies and procedures are adhered to.
Job Requirements
University Degree
8 years banking experience of which at least 4 years in fairly senior position in recovery functional area with a reputed financial institution
Good knowledge of banking laws and procedures.
Planning and organizing skills
Strong investigative and persuasive skills.
Maintaining good contacts with Police / Courts
Good command of Arabic & English.
