Job Description
The role of the Finance Controller is To Manage the FSS analytical requirements by analysing various commercial initiatives and making recommendations supported by appropriate financial tools and information to facilitate the decision making process.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Establish, define and monitor the analysis strategy for the team considering the overall FSS and Finance vision.
Perform risk assessment across company to identify any areas of revenue/yield dilution and design & implement mitigating controls to address the issues.
Publish periodic analysis and prepare predictive simulations etc for senior management focussing on company performance, highlighting any areas of concern, providing suitable recommendations and influencing respective teams.
Manage strategic analytical products and present the findings and observations to senior management from Finance, RO and/or Commercial to facilitate strategic decisions affecting the Group so that decisions taken are financially sound.
Manage the adhoc analytical requirements from Senior Management, RO, Commercial and other departments within critical deadlines and make valuable recommendations to facilitate strategic decisions affecting the airline operations.
Manage, motivate and develop the team into a cohesive working unit to develop analytical thinking and create valuable analytical products.
Job Requirements
Degree of Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in finance
Professionally qualified – CA, ACCA, CPA preferred
5+ years’ experience in a relevant role (preferably airline).
Specialised knowledge of passenger and cargo airline revenue cost accounting
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with senior managers internally and externally.
Advanced level of analytical thinking, data analysis and presentation skills
Understanding and awareness of Commercial and Operational areas of the airline business.
