Mashreq Bank in Dubai, UAE is currently looking for a Procurement Assistant who will Assist to manage Strategic Procurement Services
Understand business requirement; ensure CPD function performs to its expected outcome in terms of quality, quantity, vendor / supplier satisfaction, end user satisfaction and bottom line contribution.
Identify suitable potential vendors for services & supplies.
Explore new and innovative ideas for, automation, modernizing and simplifying the process, cost effective and value added.
Living the value of the bank, adhering to code of conduct
Establishes and maintains forecast performance measurement and evaluation
Assists in developing strategies, policies and objectives such as Optimization, Process Improvement, Cost saving, etc.
Ensure bank is able to achieve sustainable commercial advantage through structured and consistent controls and oversight of spends.
Encourage and motivate Stakeholders / Project Team to take higher responsibilities for making a change towards company values.
Carry out procurement activities as Procurement Policy and Standard Operating Procedures for influence able spend.
Encourage process improvement and efficiency, review, automation, hubbing and enhancements in existing tools and procedures.
Key Result Areas
Basic knowledge & Input for Procurement Policy (PP), SOP Revision.
Advanced, Structured, Consistent, Risk Centered application of controls and oversight of spend.
Proactive in spend management, stakeholder engagement and strategy.
Basic knowledge of demand and expense management.
Advance and mandatorily aware of Centralized Contract Repository – Management of Physical Contracts, easily retrievable, timely updating of data.
Timely issuance of LPO’s accuracy as per process
Identify cost save transactions and recommend.
Ensure professional supply market research and Innovation from supplier market.
Recommend suitable potential suppliers with regard to internal demand requirements.
Manage supplier performance assessment and design of individual supplier development strategies depending on the relevance of each supplier.
Contact person for suppliers; e.g. by handling of inquiries, supporting suppliers in answering the supplier questionnaire.
Maintain strict compliance with the Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure
Agreements and principles.
Ensure Bank is able to achieve sustainable commercial advantage in terms of strategy and overall evaluation
Ensure usage of best in class methods and tools (eg. Supplier evaluation, critical assessments etc.)
Strictly follow the values of Mashreq Bank and to value to enable our bank to have a competitive advantage with respect to procurement of third party goods and services.
Recommend suitable potential supplier with regard to all initiatives
Manage strict compliance with the confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement and principles as per bank’s policies.
Lending support to Internal Stakeholders in case of escalation related to projects and contract disputes.
Educate colleagues about the policies and procedures
Strictly follow completion of surveys
Support the communication of survey findings
Help leaders interpret and act on the organization’s engagement findings
Support team meetings that managers conduct to involve employees in taking control of their engagement.
Job Requirements
Graduate within minimum 2 years of office experience
Strong PC Skills i.e. Excel, Word, MIS office, Power Point and good communication skills.
Basic knowledge of Banks operating system specifically Oracle / Payment System
Familiar with Oracle Procurement, procurement features and functions.
Good command over automated analytical tools to support vendor analysis, evaluation matrix, performance analysis, SLA, TAT measurements etc.
Professional, with a proven track record of integrity and ethical values without any doubt.
