Senior Analyst – Structuring & Deal Documentation
Mashreq Bank in Dubai, UAE is currently looking for a Senior Analyst who will Assist in structuring & documentation review of wholesale transactions
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Assist, Support & Provide back up to the supervisor for the following:
Preparation of transaction related process flow & structure paper based on discussions with Head IPG
Do the first draft review of documents for Islamic transactions in light of SSB, Head IPG, & AAOIFI guidelines
Liaison with Legal (Internal & External) during development of the documentation suite to explain the intricacies of Islamic Finance and ensure clauses are drafted accordingly and in light of SSB, Head IPG, & AAOIFI guidelines
Liaison with counterparts in other Banks in Syndications to address their Shariah/Product concerns or communicate MB’s point of view
Accompany RMs on client calls where the client requires Shariah Compliance assurance or has other queries pertaining to Islamic Finance
Maintaining deal tracker for all Islamic deals in CIBG/IBG, closed & pipeline on the format agreed with Head IPG
Monthly Financial analysis for each coverage area of Corporate & submit reports
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree/Professional Qualification in business/banking.
Significant exposure to Shari’ah principles via studies, courses or extensive on the job learning.
Extraordinary attention to detail is required.
Strong communication skills: as Bank wide interaction on technical issues is required.
Command on MS office.
Three years plus experience in an Islamic Bank in Product Development/ Shariah Compliance department.
