Proposal Engineer - Digital Grid Systems
As the trusted partner for the development and extension of an efficient and reliable power infrastructure, the Energy Management Division provides utility companies and industries with the portfolio that meets their needs. This includes facilities and systems for the low-voltage and distribution power grid level, smart grid and energy automation solutions, power supply for industrial plants, and high-voltage transmission systems.
Working within our Digital Grid division, you will be responsible for the delivery of the high-quality bid proposals on time, and in line with Siemens standards of quality
Candidates must have utility SCADA experience with Distribution management system (DMS) and energy management system (EMS).
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Responsible to manage inquiries relating to open bids and tenders
Manage the bid process within the guidelines established by Siemens bidding processes and procedures
Lead Role in Design & Estimation of all Bids and provide Technical Inputs and Suggestions to Estimators and Technical Team to reduce the cost
Manage the bid proposal as your ultimate deliverable within time and quality
Manage relationship with potential & existing clients to be able to shorten the bid proposal time plan while maintaining quality measure set by Siemens.
Prepare Bid Programs for all Bids in MS Project and Monitor them closely for any lags and escalate issues to seniors
Create highly professional technical and commercial proposals suitable for presentation to the highest levels of management
Prepare Scope of Works Matrix for all Bids and ensure this is part of the Bid Basis Document
Job Requirements
Able to work within a team and across the functional organization
Apply good understanding of project' deployment, engineering/estimation processes and strong market' awareness and cultural influence
Ability to guide the team members in prioritization
Very well organized, with sound project management skills
Very good knowledge of project management
Very good knowledge of SCADA systems, RTU's, Smart communications, and metadata Management.
