Job Description
United Arab Emirates University - UAEU is currently recruiting for a Strategic Planning Analyst to work as part of the Strategy & Future Department (SFD) team. SFD oversees the process of developing, executing and reviewing the outcomes of the University Strategic Planning Framework and ensuring compatibility with federal government requirements, and in addressing the emerging challenges of higher education. The candidate is expected to be an advocate for institution-wide planning efforts to ensure that all constituents participate in determining the direction that the university should take to achieve its vision, to build a sense of ownership, and to ensure the commitment of all stakeholders to work together to accomplish this vision.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Overseeing the implementation of UAEU Strategic Planning Framework.
Participate in the development and execution of University-wide integrated planning processes including strategy formulation, communication, execution, as well as defining measures of success and monitoring institutional performance.
Coordinate the process of developing the strategic and operational plans for the academic and non-academic units and ensure alignment with university’s strategic plan.
Oversee the performance management system to monitor the implementation of the strategic and operational plans, and prepare progress reports at all levels.
Propose solutions to any obstacles hindering the implementation of strategic and operational plans in coordination with the concerned units in the university.
Gathering and analyze institutional performance data and information in a timely and accurate manner.
Develop periodic reports related to institutional strategic plan performance to internal and external stakeholders.
Participate in the university’s annual budget planning process and ensure its alignment with the university strategic plan initiatives and activities.
Conduct a periodical benchmarking exercise to compare performance and practices against local, regional and international peer institutions.
Undertake other tasks as requested by the Director of Strategy & Future Department.
Job Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in Performance Management or relevant field.
Full English and Arabic proficiency are required.
Exceptional written, presentation and verbal communication skills that can be applied across levels.
Excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
Strong personality and drive.
Self-driven and resourceful.
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
