Research Assistant- Modelling, Analysis and Simulation of Some Evolutionary Phenomena
The Research Institute of Sciences and Engineering (RISE) is seeking to hire a full-time Research Assistant (RAs) that is holding master degree with high CGPA from a reputable university. Applicants should have a solid background in Partial Differential Equations, Functional Analysis and Numerical Analysis. The RA will be working as a full time researcher with the research group Research Group Modeling, Analysis and Simulation of some Evolutionary Phenomena (MASEP) at the Department of Mathematics, College of Science, University of Sharjah.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Follow all University policies regulations for safe working procedures
Help in doing research in the general field of partial differential equations and numerical analysis.
Implementing simulation to understand the stability/instability of solutions to some PDEs.
Apply mathematical methods to model and solve practical problems
Writing technical reports and papers on relevant research topics.
May perform other duties related to the nature of his/her job as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements
Master (PhD preferred)) degree with high GPA in Applied Mathematics
Motivated and can work independently as well as within a team
Relevant Experience: 2 or more
Excellent computer skills
Competencies
Prior scholarly publications and research experience is a plus.
Excellent mathematics analysis/numerical analysis skills
Excellent writing skills
Excellent communication skills.
Fluent in English language
