Reports to Head of Software Development
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Design, implement, maintain and document software development applications
Participate in requirements analysis and definition. Design, write, and develop software development applications.
Debug, test, and implement complex applications. Diagnose and resolve application problems and their related interfaces. Develop test procedures and test platforms.
Document an entire development process including test results, user acceptance testing, implementation plans, and user manuals.
Stays abreast of state-of-the-art programming techniques, implements them, and advocates their implementation
Job Requirements
Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields.
Has a solid background in object-oriented programming (preferably Java).
Possess solid background in web development (including JSPs, applets, PHP, etc…).
General knowledge of relational and transactional databases.
High analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to gather and examine project requirements and implement end-user applications/solutions.
Knowledge of Java Enterprise Edition (Java Beans, Java WebServers, multi-tier architectures, etc…) is a plus.
