Job Description
Provision of administration support to procurement department for a given procurement section. Working under guidance from manager to help the procurement department meet end user requests in a timely and effective manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Operational
Provide high service levels for QR Group including timelines, professionalism, communications and expectations.
Provide regular status updates to manager on ongoing procurement and ensure Purchase Orders are raised with correct pricing, delivery date and payment terms.
Ensure conformance at all times of the organisation to Procurement process, DOA and any other relevant company policies and processes.
Work closely with Contracts to ensure appropriate agreements are negotiated and in place.
Provision of data to assist in category strategy definition and KPI monitoring.
Execute the PO process, ensuring compliance with Procurement Policy, Process and DOA.
Creation and administration management of Purchase Orders, Contracts and Agreements in a systematic matter.
Keep purchasing department records necessary for complying with audit requirements, up to date and accessible.
Responsible for item creation in Oracle for new user requests, not available in iProcurement.
Develop relationships with end users, vetting received souring requests and ensure user clearly defines requirements and obtains relevant approvals.
Proactively seek to provide solutions to operational problems.
Achieving assigned KPIs in line with Category KPIs.
Perform administration duties, at request of senior team members to ensure the efficient and effective continuation of QR operational activities.
Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Take responsibility for own ongoing personal development and growth of expertise.
Keep abreast with any market trends and developments
Assist in the response to any emergency or a major operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways or its subsidiaries, including support of the Qatar Airways
Special Assistance Program.
Train Qatari staff in various duties as per business requirements
Operational Safety
Ensure full awareness of work health and safety requirements and expectations in order to minimise health and safety risks for self and colleagues.
Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operation to guarantee employee safety, security, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality service with a responsible environmental attitude.
Take a direct and personal interest in reported injuries, incidents, near misses and hazards to ensure that appropriate reporting, investigation and response is being achieved.
Job Requirements
Relevant Vocational, Tertiary or Trade qualification
Minimum 4 years relevant experience
Airline, Middle East or Category Specific experience.
Preferred: Airline Procurement.

Fluent command of English language.

Numeracy and the ability to present data clearly and accurately.
Planning, Problem Solving and Decision Making abilities.
Attention to detail.
Able to prioritise workload in order to meet user department deadlines.
