As a System Administrator within the Energy Management division you contribute to creating added value for our clients. Automation and Digitization are important enablers for our customers to meet these challenges. With its Spectrum Power portfolio, Siemens offers solutions to meet these challenges. The Spectrum Power portfolio offers SCADA / Energy management solutions for transmission & distribution networks. We are looking for an experienced System Administrator for our Spectrum Power System
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Maintain and manage complex Grid Control / SCADA systems, based on operating systems such as LINUX Red Hat and SOLARIS, where you are familiar with both on premise and virtual environments
Install, maintain, patch and maintain the SCADA / Energy management systems, especially in the area of System Administration tasks (Hardware, Operating System, Database (Oracle), own and 3th party application software)
Technical contact person - also at the customer's location - for our customers
Drafting and updating of technical documentation
Planning, preparation and execution of (Cyber Security) Patches, both internally and on location at the customer
Plan, prepare and execute updates and upgrades
Job Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in Siemens Spectrum System for Control Center
You have excellent knowledge of LINUX Red Hat, Windows and SOLARIS, (installation, maintenance fault analysis). Certification will be added advantage
You are familiar with virtualization technologies (VMware ESX, vSphere Metro Storage Cluster)
Knowledge of ORACLE RDBMS and to be able to perform database Recovery
Should be able to manage code changes onsite on Clear Quest Server and should be able to execute new code changes
Should be able to do Anti-Virus Update, Patch update, Hardware update for system
Affinity with Cyber Security is an advantage
Prepared to work in various (customer) locations, as well as willingness to travel across Globe
