Internship Description
Project Engineer interns will assist the project team in the completion of designated projects while focusing on learning construction industry processes and procedures. Interns will gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders while developing an understanding of jobsite coordination, scheduling, quality control and safety.
Intern's Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Understanding project requirements and specifications
Performs routine aspects of assigned projects under close supervision, following established procedures
Coordinate with Project Management professionals to make modifications and corrections to project specific documents
Assuring that project deliverables are delivered
May use computer-assisted engineering software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
Prepare and process client requested data or documents that are compliant with contract terms and client specific needs
Collects and prepares data for evaluation
Internship Requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is required
Attention to detail and the ability to exercise good professional judgment is required
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management regarding project activity is required
Bachelor's degree in a construction related field, such as civil engineering, construction science, architecture, construction engineering, or similar.
