    We are currently looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to support a range of marketing objectives in line with marketing communications briefs from the Manager of Marketing Communications (MMC) including new customer acquisition and customer retention, through online conversion, engagement and brand building. Accountable to the regional MMC to recommend digital marketing plans in response to their briefs. Implement and optimise plans across platforms and channels (PPC, Paid Social, Display, Email, Affiliates, SEO). Work alongside specialist teams across the marketing communications mix to achieve shared objectives, ensuring campaigns are integrated and ensuring a consistent voice and message.

    You will work with the channel specialist digital teams to develop, deploy and optimise a customer centric approach to digital marketing communications; relevant and effective across all digital customer touch-points. As the cross-channel digital marketer, there is the expectation to understand the latest innovations and technologies to order to provide a solid, consistent digital consultancy to the MMCs and other specialists. Improve online KPI’s and campaign performance by introducing a stronger focus on targeting and optimisation, applying data-driven insights to identify relevant customer segments. Track and measure digital performance, ultimately improving marketing ROI, whilst increasing Customer Lifetime Value through relevant and engaging communications.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:


    • Devise and implement regional digital marketing strategies across platforms and channels; PPC, Display, Paid Social (Facebook, Twitter), Email & Affiliates, transforming overarching commercial and short term tactical objectives into innovative digital marketing campaigns in response to briefs sent by the MMC following annual and tactical plans.

    • Understand and evolve centrally developed digital channel strategies from the channel specialists and leverage the latest digital channel innovations and technologies to deliver successful, tailored and creative local marketing campaigns in your region. Monitor and recommend any changes to the digital channel mix to deliver to pre-determined KPIs and measures.

    • Ensure all digital marketing activity is accurately monitored and measured using available analytics tools, deriving data driven insights to make informed marketing decisions. Manage a testing plan to increase business insight from marketing campaigns, using the output to drive revenue improvements and cost savings. Optimise campaign performance in real or close to real time, applying creative testing and optimisation strategies.

    • Provide regular cross channel reports and insights to MMCs for all online marketing activity. Lead a regular review of marketing activity and report back on opportunities for improvement.

    • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practice, including competitor analysis, applying this to our business and sharing insights with MMC and wider teams

    • Act as a key stakeholder for the selection and management of third-party suppliers to help deliver the regional online marketing plan.

    • Using data, customer insights and market trends, analyse and improve the online customer journey, from acquisition through to conversion and provide actionable insights and recommendations on how to achieve objectives at each stage of the customer journey.

    • Manage and coach Digital Marketing Executives in the digital marketing channels and in the effective usage of digital analytics and reporting tools

    • Build strong relationships with the rest of the specialist areas in the regional account team to ensure collaboration resulting in shared and integrated responses to campaign briefs. Work with the specialist areas to deliver on shared and agreed upon objectives to the MMC.

    • Work with the MMC to set marketing budgets and provide forecasts of revenue from online marketing channels. Be responsible for ensuring marketing campaigns are delivered according to the schedule and within set budgets.


    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a digital role; client or agency side

    • Strong negotiating and influencing skills. Solid Communicator, great at keeping stakeholders and others updated with the appropriate level of detail

    • Strong portfolio of cross-channel digital marketing successes

    • Understand how to support commercial briefs and report on brand or revenue metrics

    • Experience in using statistics and insights to make strategic decisions

    • Understanding of testing, personalisation and optimisation

    • An ongoing desire to learn and excel in a highly collaborative, multi-facetted department
