Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Ensuring that all transaction are being monitored by analysts periodically for any issues
Policies
Continually ensure that best in class Credit Policies and Programs are in place
Process
Ensuring all credit application submitted by the team are of the acceptable standards and in line with the prescribed format
Proactive monitoring of credits for early problem recognition.
All waiver analysis / processing is being done on time in conjunction with the CIB teams.
Ensures availability of required information to Credit Committee Members for credit decision making
Assist Risk department in various Central Bank reporting and Audit queries
People
Colloborate with key stakeholders (Coverage, Product and Risk) to ensure functioning of various tasks is conducted in a smooth and efficient manner.
Aware of the developments in the structured finance world with constant updation of developments across various industries.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of structuring transactions with deep dive analysis of the risks.
Undertake ad-hoc projects or duties as assigned by Head of Department.
Ensure that any underwriting memo is appropriately drafted by GCF incorporating the key terms of the underwrite and liquidity analysis.
Portfolio
Monitor all key specialised credit portfolio parameters periodically and ensure that the deviation of portfolio to the credit policies are minimal.
Monitor underwriting portfolio and periodically convene the underwriting portfolio meeting with the key stakeholders.
Process
Advises CIB teams on risk factors associated with complex transactions and clauses imperative mitigating these.
Oversee due diligence process for prospective transaction and ensure emerging risk factors are appropriately addressed in the term sheet and credit
application.
Participate in client meeting and provide guidance on key risk factors , acceptable structure and appropriate due diligence
People
Guides a team of analyst whereby the transaction are analysed appropriately in line with the credit policies and credit porposals are prepared to meet the internal standards.
Plan, anticipate and identify future capacity and skill needs of the department and pursue their fulfillment.
Cross-train and develop staff to achieve efficient resource utilization and deployment. Also, identify and retain key talent in the department.

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree along with MBA in Finance
8 years’ relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 5 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in the credit / structuring function.
