    The International Subsidiary Banking (ISB) Relationship Manager manages a portfolio of ISB customers, with accountability for sales, service, risk and operational delivery. These clients have varying needs from basic client servicing to more complex multi-product needs.

    The IBT RM is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of ISB relationships. To focus on growing existing relationships and winning new long-term relationships in a sustainable, responsible and compliant manner

    The job holder is responsible to drive business with new clients through introductions from existing clients and buyer-supplier, franchise and professional networks

    The job holder should be efficient, transparent and client focused so that HSBC client's experience is in line with the overall country/regional strategy with specific regard to balancing risk management and revenue growth.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:


    • Grow sustainable revenues from the existing customer portfolio and through targeted acquisition of new quality customers

    • Ensure proactive relationship building/customer contact plans and pipelline management for both existing and new customers

    • Monitor the client portfolio regularly and generate quality assets through the use of appropriate risk management tools, priced appropriately for risk and within customers ' and HSBC's risk appetite

    • Proactively grow international/cross border revenue

    • Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of customer information and deal pipeline on relevant systems as required

    • Work collaboratively with other Global Businesses, Product and Service Partners to identify oportunities to connect customers to opportunities and strengthen the relationship

    • Develop effective strategies to manage customer relationships, anticipate customer needs and provide a superior quality service to position HSBC as the market leader in this segment

    • Keep abreast of external factors influencing international business e.g. economic, cultural, geographical, procedural and regulatory requirements.

    • Work with other areas of the business to ensure overall governance.

    • Establish an effective working relationship with Risk in order to validate the accuracy of the customer risk profile, and ensure sustainable asset growth

    • Maintain a proactive calling programme to service clients, ensuring senior management and key stakeholders for large corporate clients are contacted regularly

    • Deliver a high quality service by owning customer engagement, striving for excellence in all interactions with (prospective) customer or other professionals, and always acting according to the highest professional standards

    • Help customers draw on the HSBC group network by working closely with other Commercial Banking (CMB) countries and Product and Service partners

    • Ensure client plans are co-ordinated and Client Service teams are in place with product partners

    • Ensure early identification of problem relationships and take appropriate action

    • Be an ambassador for HSBC and develop the bank’s profile in the local ‘International Business’ community

    • Work in partnership with colleagues across the HSBC network to deliver exceptional standards and quality of service

    Job Requirements

    • Kuwaiti Nationals Only

    • Knowledge and experience in managing commercial relationships with international needs in a front line role.

    • Knowledge of Trade, liquidity& cash management, Global Banking &Markets products and capabilities

    • Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services

    • Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues

    • Ability to interact with business stakeholders and customers at all levels.

    • Excellent time management, planning and organization skills

    • Excellent range of communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations

    • Strong analytical skills

    • Credit assessment skills, particularly with regards to structured facilities with an international dimension.

    • Proven ability to deliver creative and flexible customer solutions.
