Job Description
The U.S. Mission in (Cairo/Egypt) is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for position of Voucher Examiner. The work schedule for this position is: Full-time 40 hours/week
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Responsible for examining and processing a variety of difficult and complicated non-cash / cash payments, invoices, sensitive claims and other requests for payment of goods and services against various purchase orders, blanket purchase agreements, contracts, grants, travel authorization, Memorandum of Understanding and others. Refer to Financial System(RFMS, ILMS, E2, COAST) and Web flow systems to examine / process payments.
Follow all Department of State and Military regulations as: FAM, FAH, DSSR, FMR, JFTR, OI ( QOL - MWR).
Determine entitlements, discusses or corresponds with vendors, claimants and/or related sections for clarification, examining, solving problems, supporting documentation and processes vouchers.
Job Requirements
A College degree required
Three years of performing progressively more responsible work in accounting or vouchering examining is required.
Level III (Good working knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing of English is required. This will be tested.
Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing of Arabic is required.
Attention to detail and good communication and interpersonal skills are required (frequent contact with mission personnel, American staff and agencies is needed).
Familiar with fiscal regulations, procedures, and practices.
