To prepare financial information or reports and maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, or other financial activities within the company SAEI
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Implement approved policies and procedures and ensure adherence with the processes so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
Implement the day-to-day operations assigned for the area of work to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures
Prepare reports timely and accurately to meet company and department’s requirements, policies and standards
Prepare, examine, or analyse accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes
Locate and monitor overdue accounts, using company’s systems(s)
Assign entries to proper accounts with accurate descriptions
Maintain, and analyse budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
Charge expenses to accounts and cost centres by analysing invoice/expense reports; recording entries
Pays vendors by monitoring, verifying, scheduling and preparing checks resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
Insure credit is received for outstanding memos and issue stop-payments or purchase order amendments
Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records
Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
Maintain historical records by electronic archiving and filing documents
Disburse petty cash by recording entry and verifying documentation
Analyse business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice
Inform investment decisions by analysing financial information to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions
Assist in interpretations of data on price, stability, future investment-risk trends, economic influences, and other factors affecting investment programs
Assist in preparation of investment action plans using financial analyses
Comply with all relevant safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
Perform other related duties or assignments as directed
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or any other related field
Minimum accumulative GPA: (3.0/4.0) or 3.75/5.0)
0-5 years of experience (Aviation experience is preferable)
