Flight Operations Engineer (Fleet & Performance)
- To support the Flight Operations Department in management of Operations Engineering activities related to Aircraft Performance, Operations Planning and Optimization, Fuel Conservation and Operating Cost Optimization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Responsible for management of operational data coming from several sources within the company. Development and maintenance of databases & dashboards and application of data analytics to support business decisions for improvement of operational efficiency.
To plan, implement and monitor tasks related to fuel management & conservation and ensure they are accomplished on a timely manner achieving maximum benefit (cost saving) to the company.
To keep abreast with best industry practices for operational efficiency & fuel conservation and see how those can be applied in the context of Emirates operational environment.
Use manufacturer’s (Airbus & Boeing) performance applications and software to support day to day operations.
To undertake special programmes/projects such as new aircraft / technology evaluation. Identification, development and implementation of new process & procedures, technologies and tools to enhance the efficiency of the department.
Job Requirements
Qualifications: Engineering Degree or equivalent professional degree
Experience: 7+ years with at least 3 years relevant to airline operations and data analytics
Good knowledge of Flight Operations policies, procedures and regulations (ICAO, FAA, EASA)
Strong knowledge of aircraft performance and related performance software such as OPT, PET, EPD, LPC-NG, WINPEP, INFLT etc.
Expertise in use of data analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
Strong IT knowledge and skills
Knowledge of aircraft systems and airline operational documentation.
