Job Description
The WFP Summer Internship Program is an 8-week full-time program for highly qualified Egyptian students and fresh graduates to explore the opportunity of working with the United Nations in Egypt
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Decentralization of the mVAM analysis process from HQ to RBC;
Preparation of regular analysis and reporting;
Managing information and data inputted to and disseminated through SNAP;
Ensuring data quality.
Develop a script for data cleaning and data quality assurance;
Develop a script for data analysis,
Prepare presentable interactive dashboards,
Upload price data to SNAP platform for all countries
Job Requirements
University students with graduation year in 2019 or 2020.
Recent graduate (max. 6 months after graduation)
Full-time availability in the period July and August.
Strong academic track record (good, very good or excellent ratings)
Fluency in oral and written English
Extracurricular activities are a must.
Previous internship experience is a plus
Studies in Computer Science or data mining or Statistics or Operations Research or Mathematics
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, publisher),
Experience with a scripting language (preferably python or R) is a plus.
Experience with relational databases is a plus.
Experience with a data visualization tool preferably Tableau is a plus.
Experience with applied statistics including (Hypotheses testing, correlation analysis, regression analysis) is a plus.
Knowledge of other statistical packages such as SPSS, STATA, SAS is a plus.
