    The U.S. Mission in the UAE is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant (Part time)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • The primary purpose is to provide administrative, secretarial, and clerical assistance to the Public Affairs Office including EducationUSA .

    • Under the supervision of the PAO, the incumbent will be required to perform wide range of administrative duties, as needed .

    • These may include, but are not limited to, preparing letters, telegrams, memos and reports; receiving and distributing incoming correspondence and mail; answering phone calls, scheduling appointments and maintaining several spreadsheets/calendars; reporting time and attendance.

    • Education:

    • High School diploma or GED is required

    • Work Experience:

    • Two years of administrative support, management, travel, previous work experience in an Embassy or Government office; or experience in any position that required administrative, and organizational expertise is required

    • Language:

    • Level 4 ( fluent) command or written and spoken English “This may be tested”

    • Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of US Embassy or organizational structure

    • Abilities and Skills:

    • Experienced with all Microsoft Office applications. Keyboard at a minimum of 30 wpm.

    • Must be a self-starter and flexible; able to adapt quickly to office changes.

    • Good customer service skills are needed for this position.

    • Good organization skills are required to manage complex arrangements, delegate requirements and manage changing schedules.

    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are necessary for dealing with day-today customer needs as well as high-level visitor requirements.

    • Must be able to obtain a Non- Sensitive Public Trust security clearance
