Job Description
The Emirates Flight Training Academy in Dubai is seeking young and ambitious Emiratis to join the National Cadet Pilot Programme, which aims to train them to become world-class pilots. The fully sponsored program covers the cost of training for at least four years, including materials, accommodation, uniforms, and three daily meals. The program will take participants from zero flying hours through ground school and the skies in a multi-engine, multi-crew aircraft. After graduation, they will be qualified to command one of the newest and most modern fleets in the sky with Emirates, the world's largest international airline. The selection process includes maths and physics assessments, medical pre-screening at the EK Clinic, compass tests, aviation English tests, psychometrics tests, panel interviews, and GCAA Medical examinations. The programme is divided into phases:
- Ab-initio Pilot: Phase 1 – Ground School, which includes aviation sciences foundation, APL theoretical knowledge, and flight training.
- Flight Training: Phase 2 – Flight Training, providing approximately 274 hours of flight experience, a course completion certificate, Commercial Pilot Licence with Multi Instrument Rating (CPL/multi IR) and Multi Crew Cooperation Course (MCC).
- Conversion, Type Rating and Line Training: Phase 3 – Conversion, Type Rating and Line Training, followed by line training.
- Line Training: Phase 4 – Line Training, followed by a final line check.
- First Officer: As a line pilot, you will be flying one of the youngest and most modern fleets in the sky with Emirates. The pay and benefits for this position are AED 43,000 per month, including basic pay and fixed allowances.
Job Requirements
Candidates must be 17-26 years old, have completed Grade 12 with a minimum score of 80% or higher, have a TOEFL PBT score of 510/IBT 6.5 or an IELTS score of 6, and have completed the National Service before joining the program. They must be medically fit with a healthy BMI of 29 or less, have a valid UAE passport, and have Khulasat Al Qaid. Ministry of Education attestation is required for required certificates.
