Job Description
The position is responsible for providing consultation to external customers in the area of Trade Finance and to CIBG, FIG and RBG. Also responsible for managing Internet Banking and Trade Finance systems. Additionally shall also check on an agreed thresh holds Trade Finance Transactions received by the Bank. Check for 1st time accuracy of the documents submitted by the customers to avoid further referrals. Handle time to time projects assigned in terms of system implementation and Process re-engineering.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Provide advise and consultation to commercial customers related to Trade Finance transactions (Import, Export, Guarantee).
Provide advise and consultation to Product Development Team with respect to Trade Finance activities in accordance with International Practices and ICC Publications/OPM/APPM/Local Rules and Regulations.
Responsible for managing Internet Banking and Trade Finance Systems with respect to development, enhancement, defining functional requirements, testing and implementation. Become first point of contact for the users for resolving problems related to these systems.
Ensure all procedures that are developed comply with Bank Policy and Guidelines.
Review customer complaints and take immediate action to satisfy them.
Ensure MBOs achieved on time.
Exercise due diligence in checking shipping documents drawn under Letters of Credit.
Ensure prompt processing and checking of transactions for FTC products.
Job Requirements
Graduate with thorough and in depth understanding of Trade Finance products and functions.
Preferably CDCS
Thorough understanding of Swift, Trade Finance and Financial Operating Systems.
General Banking knowledge.
A Minimum of 10 years’ experience in General Banking and Trade Finance.
Good Communications and interpersonal skills.
